Albert, the film and TV consortium for sustainability and part of BAFTA, has officially released its Studio Sustainability Standard Report 2024 which looks at studio sustainability data from across the world.

Through the report, Sky Studios Elstree has been awarded a mark of ‘outstanding’ and overall score of 95%, which is the highest score for any studio globally, cementing the studio as the most sustainable in the world.

Sky Studios Elstree is powered by 100% renewable energy, the majority of which comes from the 3-acres of solar panels across the studio’s rooftops. With rainwater harvesting, LED lighting, EV charging points and an all-electric operations vehicle fleet, every aspect of the studio treads lightly on the planet.

Major film and TV productions using the studios are also supported to ensure they make sustainable choices when they work at Sky Studios Elstree. The team can track waste volumes down to the kg, separated by production, department and location on site. Ensuring every client has the data to reduce, reuse or recycle as much as possible. When working with Sky Studios Elstree, productions commit to a greener future.
